Credentials - Lim Seow Chin

Ms Lim Seow Chin holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) degree in Statistics. A seasoned researcher with 24 years of experience, Ms Lim has the knowledge, skills and expertise to launch different types of research studies. She is well-versed with the various aspects of the market research process including questionnaire design, sample selection, data analysis and report writing. Her research experience spans a wide variety of studies including image studies, customer satisfaction studies, readership studies, advertisement effectiveness studies , pre and post campaign assessment studies, organizational climate surveys, opinion surveys and surveys on social issues.

Ms Lim began her career with Ministry of Defence. As Research Officer/Statistician, she undertook research projects related to the Singapore Armed Forces and defence-related issues.. Next, she spent a year each at Construction Industry Development Board and National Computer Systems where she was involved in research pertaining to the construction industry and IT industry respectively.

Ms Lim subsequently joined Singapore Press Holdings and her last held position in SPH was Senior Manager, Research. Whilst in SPH, Ms Lim designed and implemented various research projects to meet the data needs of internal clients (e.g. SPH Management, SPH Marketing Division, SPH Editorial Division ) as well as some external clients including Ministry of Health, Singapore Tourism Board and Institute of Policy Studies.

Ms Lim is currently employed as Research Director at InResearch Pte Ltd, Prior to joining InResearch, Ms Lim was working as Assistant Vice President, Research & Consulting in Market Probe Asia-Pacific. During her stint with Market Probe, Ms Lim worked with government ministries such as Singapore Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Defence as well as private organisations such as Great Eastern and Australian Pork Limited.
